Transfer News: Mourinho tells Manchester United to buy N’golo Kante or he will leave club

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has said that for him to remain at Old Trafford as manager, United must buy N’Golo Kante from Chelsea.
Kante, French midfielder signed from Leicester in the summer of 2016, is now considered one of the world’s finest defensive midfielders, and his talents have turned Mourinho to a keen admirer.
The Portuguese handler, according to Don Balon, has told Red Devil’s hierarchy to higher the midfielder or he’ll go.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s efforts to land Alex Sandro from Juventus are being frustrated by the high asking price the Italian giants have placed on their player.
Chelsea’s manager, Antonio Conte has been a long time admirer of Sandro, as he looks to bolster his options at the back.
The Italian giants reportedly are holding out for £60 million, a fee the Blues are not willing to match.
Also, Bayern Munich midfielder, Arturo Vidal is ignoring reported interest from Chelsea and is instead focused on winning silverware with his club this season.
The Premier League champions have been linked with a €37million bid for the midfielder, who worked with Blues boss Antonio Conte at Juventus.
But Vidal told newsmen, “Yes, I’ve heard about it, but I’m fully focused on the season with Bayern and I’m only looking day-to-day.”

Bishop Ajose reveals shocking prophecies about Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu, APC

A former chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ikeja chapter and General Overseer of Prophetic Prayer Ministries International Bishop Theophilus Ajose has revealed the message he had concerning President Muhammadu Buhari.
He advised the president to abide by doctors instructions, calling for continued prayers over his health.
In his message titled, ‘2018 – Year of enforcement of Divine prophecies and a new world order’, Bishop Ajose urged Buhari to pray against food poisoning and betrayal from APC stalwarts.
“There shall be series of resignation from his cabinet and government officers of his government in the second and third half of 2018”, he said.
On former governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu, Ajose said he also risks betrayal from trusted party members.
“He should protect his family from politics and political arrows if he must enjoy the peace he desperately needs at this latter part of his life and destiny. He also needs to watch his health seriously in 2018.”
On former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, the bishop said, “2018 look bright and rewarding for the political proverbial cat with nine lives and the PDP Presidential hopeful. There shall be a major threat to his life, and some unholy disclosures concerning him shall bring a temporary setback to his political ambition.
“He will reach out to his former political foes and build bridges of goodwill in an attempt to stabilise his political base. He must watch his health very seriously and the “medication” he receives which may be poison in disguise.”
The cleric added that, “Two of Nigeria’s elder statesmen shall “go home” in 2018. The world and the nation shall miss them. A great world leader shall die in the first half of 2018. A governor shall be impeached in the second half of the year.
“There are going to be climatic and environmental changes of great immense proportion in 2018. The effect of the degradation of the ozone layer is to be felt on the earth more than ever before.
“The world will witness natural disaster in 2018 more than ever that many cities, states and even two sovereign nations shall be wiped off the map of the world due to earthquakes, storms and hurricanes. For the first time, some African nations shall experience earthquakes and natural disasters beyond the ordinary.
“Despite the cordial relationship that the Nigeria government presently enjoys with the USA, there shall be policy and diplomatic disagreement and confrontation with the USA in 2018 starting from the second quarter of the year.”

Archibishop Okogie reveals why Buhari should retire in 2019

Olubunmi Okogie, Archbishop emeritus of the Catholic archdiocese of Lagos, says President Muhammadu Buhari should retire quietly come 2019.
Okogie said President Buhari has performed woefully and does not deserve to be re-elected.
There are indications that the president will seek re election in 2019.
Minister of communication, Adebayo Shittu after a closed-door meeting with Buhari told state house correspondents that the President’s ardent supporters would prevail on him to seek re-election.
Reports emerged that Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, has been appointed as the director-general of Buhari campaign.
Okogie speaking with New Telegraph said it was an insult to Nigerians for the president to be talking about 2019 election despite challenges.
The archbishop further advised Buhari to respect himself and think of finding solutions to the problems confronting Nigerians than re election.
“What has he done in the years he had been in the saddle? He has performed woefully; that’s the verdict of Nigerians.
“Let the president respect himself and retire quietly. Coming out to talk of 2019 is insulting not only to those who voted him to power but to all Nigerians.
“There are so many problems confronting the people and he should be thinking of what to do about them. For second term, he must be a joker.
“That is all I can say for now because I don’t want to dignify them with a lengthy statement. It is not worth it.” Okogie said

Buhari’s re-election bid: PDP warns Amaechi to resign

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday asked the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi to resign from the federal Executive Council.
This is contained in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan.
The PDP said its call followed the the appointment of Amaechi as the Director-General (DG) of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 re-election campaign.
“If APC has any strand of dignity, then Amaechi must resign as the Minister of Transportation having been appointed and already functioning as the DG of President Buhari’s Campaign.
“Under the constitution of Nigeria, Mr. Amaechi cannot combine the job of a Minister of the Federal Republic with another responsibility such as the DG of a campaign organization.
“Amaechi’s action in accepting the job while still holding office as Minister is in clear breach of the oath of office and the oath of allegiance which he swore in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). He should therefore resign his office as minister with immediate effect,” he said
The party stated that Amaechi, perhaps in his desperation for recognition, has already began to function in the capacity as mobilizer for Buhari’s second term, adding that, he had already held meetings with some of the governors elected on the platform of the APC.
PDP recalled that when as a serving Minister of Works, Chief Tony Anenih was appointed to head the campaign of then President Olusegun Obasanjo, the former resigned his cabinet appointment.
It expressed shock that the APC is more interested in setting up an electoral structure for a second term when Nigerians are dying daily of hunger and poverty while others are being slaughtered in their communities by marauders across the country.
“Is it not instructive for Nigerians to now know that the APC has not the littlest agenda on governance for our people and do not have the interest of Nigerians at heart?
“They have shown that all they care for is their selfish political and pecuniary interests”, the statement added.

Oyo PDP mourns Ibadan newscaster, blasts Ajimobi over N50b healthcare fund

The Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday mourned the death of Mr. Olufemi Oluwajobi, who was until his death a newscaster with Fresh FM, Ibadan.
Oluwajobi, DAILY POST recalled was mauled down by a hit and run vehicle on Sunday 31st December, 2017.
It was learnt that after he was hit by the car, his colleagues and sympathisers rushed him to a nearby private hospital where he was subsequently referred to the Oyo State Teaching Hospital at Adeoyo, Ring road Ibadan.
But, PDP in a statement titled “Olufemi Oluwajobi and a death too many: The comatose of Oyo State Health Sector”, signed by its Publicity Secretary, Engineer Akeem Olatunji, alleged that it was unfortunate that the state hospital does not have equipment to cater for emergency or accident victims.
Olatunji said “From information gathered, late Oluwajobi was referred to Adeoyo State Hospital Ring Road from a private clinic where he earlier got a first aid treatment owing to injuries sustained from the vehicular accident.
“It was alleged that on arrival at the state health facility, very disheartening to know that there was no electricity nor generating plants to lighten up the premises and to make the matter worse, the government so-called teaching hospital has no medical equipments to cater for emergency or accident victims.
“Late Oluwajobi was attended to by a resident Doctor but the hospital has no Intensive Care Unit (ICU) just like other Oyo State owned hospitals across the State. The victim was then referred to UCH but the ambulances owned by the hospital have been grounded for long time and have no oxygen facilities.
“The whole hospital has only one driver and it’s impossible for him to operate 24hrs in a day for months. A visit to the State hospital will reveal the obsolete state of the hospital, it is either they are non-functioning, obsolete or comatose.
“The situation of Adeoyo general hospital is what is obtainable in all the State owned hospitals across the State and a sad reminder of the governance failure under the ruling All Progressives Congress of Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
“The staffing is grossly inadequate and poorly renumerated. The Primary Health Centres across the State relies on ad-hoc staff to attend to patients thereby putting lives of the poor citizens in danger.
“Till date, the health workers are being owed by the Oyo State government, probably this may account for low morale among the staffers.
“Many people have had agony experiences in all the Oyo State owned government hospitals, apart from lack of constant electricity and non functional generating sets, patients fetch water from home or buy pure water for their usages in the hospital.”
Olatunji also alleged that the hospital as at today was a morgue and not a health care facility.
“Adeoyo State Hospital as at today is a morgue not a health care facility. The Adeoyo hospital has no functioning X-ray machine and oxygen bottle.
“The PHCN had to disconnect electricity to the hospitals due to nonpayment of electricity bill, It is surprising that at this modern age, rechargeable lanterns are being used to take child birth delivery in the hospital while the entrance of the hospital have been taking over by weeds and refuse.
“That we lost a promising and a rising star like Olufemi Oluwajobi is a clear indication that the Oyo State health sector is another failure like education, agriculture, sports, infrastructures and other sectors”, he added.
He then queried the purpose of the recently launched state N50b health endowment fund.
“Of what purpose is the N50 billion endowment fund generated by the Oyo State government to revamp the health sector and what has the Oyo State led APC government done with the federal allocations, IGR and external aides that ran into billions of Naira in the last six years and six months. What has been the significant difference in our PHCs and general hospitals prior to the emergence of Abiola Ajimobi and now?
“Looking indepth into how we got into this precarious state, corruption and lack of foresightedness are responsible for our woes. Going round Oyo State, none of the acquired emergency tricycles could be seeing anywhere and the mobile clinic vans are nowhere to be found despite spending billions of state fund to purchase them.
“It saddens the PDP that at a time the State health sector supposed to be enhanced and well fortified with more qualified personnel, the APC led-administration recently went ahead to sack almost 300 of LAUTECH teaching hospital health workers. Curiously, the state fund was diverted to establish a private health facility for the wife of the State Governor, Mrs Florence Ajimobi named Access to Basic Care, ABC which is well equipped with state of the art medical equipment while the primary health centres across the State are in comatose with majority of them dilapidated in structure.
“It baffles the PDP that while the government owned Hospital is lacking basic equipments to discharge its responsibilities to the tax payers, the same government allegedly set up a private health facility less than 300metres to the government owned in which patients are referred to thereby killing public health institution for personal benefits.
“To sum up the whole scenario, the Oyo State health sector is in a terrible, woeful and deplorable state. The situation has to be redeemed and the PDP is calling on Gov Ajimobi to sit up and justify the billions of Naira spent so far on the health sector without results.
“It is expressly clear that Late Olufemi Oluwajobi died as a result of a failed system that has eaten deep into the fabrics of Oyo State. May the soul of Olufemi Oluwajobi continue to hunt our rulers who have refused to do the needful to salvage our health system.
“In view of the above, the PDP in Oyo State is giving the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led APC government a two-week ultimatum to declare a state of emergency in the Oyo State health sector and failure to do this will result to a strong petition to the EFCC, ICPC, National Human Rights Commissions (NHRC), World Health Organisations (WHO) and UN over unwarranted lost of lives due to incompetence and corruption demonstrated by the Oyo State APC government in the last six years and six months!!!
“The PDP hereby extends our condolence message to the Chairman, management and staff of Fresh FM 105.9 Ibadan on the avoidable loss of one of their shinning light, Late Olufemi Oluwajobi who passed away at the break of the New Year. Our prayers are with the immediate and extended family of the deceased. May God console them, now and many years to come on this sad loss”, he added.
But, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) described the PDP’s allegations as laughable.
APC’s Director, Media, Research and Strategy, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olatunde while reacting, said though the death of the young man was regrettable, the accusations of PDP does not hold water.
Olatunde said “Honestly, the death of the young man is regrettable but that doesn’t make the Government of Senator Abiola Ajimobi culpable.
“The accusation of recently launched #50billion Health infrastructure endowment fund doesn’t hold water as it is meant to tackle Infrastructural deficit occasioned by 8years of Governance hiatus by PDP in every facet of life, although not much was realized from the launching.
Infact, the little that was realized is being targeted for first quarter of 2018 utilization, according to the Board saddled with its management.
“However, apart from Government unfailing annual appropriation to Health Sector, Government has attracted Drugs and Medical Equipment Donation, valued at #200m from European Donors which are on ground for anyone to see. Further clarification of enquiry are advised to be channeled to either Honourable Commissioner for Health or Chairman State Hospital Management board”.

PDP Prepares To Remove Lagos State Governor

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said on Tuesday it would capture Lagos in the 2019 governorship election.
The PDP Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr Taofeek Gani made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
“We will shock the All Progressives Congress (APC) by winning the governorship election in Lagos in 2019,’’ Gani said.
According to him, 2019 will be the beginning of the end of the APC-led government in the state. Gani said the party had mapped out strategies to unseat the ruling party, adding “with the new spirit in PDP in Lagos, we are sure of winning in 2019’’.
He described the performance of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode as “dismal’’, claiming that “Lagosians are eagerly waiting for the PDP to take over and deliver purposeful leadership’’.
The party’s spokesman added: “We will shock the APC in 2019, take my words, we already have lots of novel ideas to wrestle them from power.
“For now, we will keep our strategies sealed, when the game starts, we will unleash them.
“Ambode has failed in purposeful governance, what we see is propaganda and project planet, the people desire change, which is PDP.”
According to him, the party has successfully resolved its internal crisis and is working assiduously to ensure a successful primary in the state.
Gani described recent media report on the defection of 1500 PDP members to the APC in the state as mere propaganda.
“It is laughable to hear that 1500 PDP members decamped to APC in Oshodi, this is outrageous propaganda.
“I am from Oshodi-Isolo, the area remains the strongest nest of PDP, we won all elective offices in the 2015 general elections, in spite the presence of the APC state chairman in the area,’’ he said.

Checkout Images Of Cat Born With Two Heads And Three Eyes | Photos

The story of Bettie Bee, a cat born with 2 faces and 3 eyes in South Africa on the 12th of December 2017 is getting global attention.
Born in Eastern Cape, South Africa, Bettie Bee was born alongside two other kittens, but her siblings were normal. It turned out that her double face made it difficult for her to nurse, which meant she was at risk of starving to death as at the time of her birth.
Her owner took it to a nearby cat rescuer who is known for taking in special needs cats.  The rescuer, started tube-feeding the kitten. She said she could “feed either mouth, both are functional, both lead to the stomach.”
Because of the kitten’s uniqueness, the rescuer started a Facebook page for Bettie Bee with pictures and updates.  The kitten appears to have a condition called craniofacial duplication, or diprosopus.
The latest update on the Cat’s official Facebook page reads;
‘Bettie Bee is an angel now. I took her to the Vet to let her go peacefully. I’m shattered. She was doing great until 2 days ago, she started with pneumonia, we suspect somehow some milk came up and went into her lungs, started with treatment immediately and thought we were winning until she vomited (probably nauseous from the antibiotics or mocus) and got more milk in her lungs, she was struggling and I said to myself from the beginning I would not let her suffer. For 16 days I gave my all and so did she, I would do it all over again, she deserved to have a chance at life but sadly it was not meant to be. Thank you so much for everyone’s love for her, kind words, prayers and encouragement. I will close this page down in a day or two.

Nigerian Army rescue 700 farmers from Boko Haram captive

The Nigerian Army in a statement released by Colonel Timothy Antigha the Deputy Director Public Relations of 8 Division says Over 700 farmers, fishermen regain freedom from Boko Haram.
According to him, ‘over 700 farmers, fishermen and members of their families who were hitherto held by Boko Haram terrorists as farm workers have fled the various islands in Lake Chad to Monguno.
The exodus of the former Boko Haram abductees is not unconnected to a follow up operation which was conducted a few days ago to exploit the gains of the recent successful Operation DEEP PUNCH 2 in Chikun Gudu and adjourning localities’.
‘The follow up operation which was conducted by the Nigerian Air Force and 38 Task Force Artillery Brigade, 8 Division, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, was targeted at destroying Boko Haram infrastructure and logistics; such as communication centers, fabrication yards, bomb making equipment, vehicles and other means of sustenance.
The ensuing collapse of their command structure and means of survival have therefore triggered the abandonment of the islands and escape of the abductees to Monguno’.
The statement also said, ‘so far, over 700 former Boko Haram abductees, comprising adult males, females and children have been received by troops of 242 Battalion in Monguno. Profiling of the displaced persons is on- going to ensure that no terrorist takes advantage of the situation to sneak into the town. Preliminary Investigation will focus on finding out where wanted Boko Haram Commanders have migrated to.
Meanwhile, 2 pregnant women among the abductees gave birth yesterday in the holding centers. It could be recalled that 2 weeks ago the initial wave of Boko Haram abductees who regained freedom following an offensive military operation in Chikun Gudu were similarly received in Monguno’.
