Muslim Student Society of Nigeria declares total support for President Buhari

- Muslim Students of Nigeria have called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Muhammadu Buhari

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) in a press release on Tuesday, August 29, called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Muhammadu Buhari.

The students body also congratulated the president on his return from his long medical trip to the United Kingdom.

It also called on the Buhari administration to be more dogged, more resolute and more focused, particularly in the daring war against corruption and security threats, Daily Post reports.

“On behalf of the millions of Nigerian Muslim students scattered in schools within and outside the country, we join the millions of Nigerians every in the world to felicitous the return of our dear President, Muhammadu Buhari, from his long medical trip to the United Kingdom well, hale and hearty.

“We do, as always, pray to Allah to enrich him the more with sound health, wisdom, commitment and appropriate team of lieutenants as he carries on with the daunting duty of leading the giant of Africa to unprecedentedly greater and enviable heights.

“Perhaps, having entered the second half of its tenure, there is no better time to remind the present administration that it needs to be more dogged, more resolute and more focused, particularly in the daring war against corruption and security threats.

“This is necessary given the complexities, intricacies, dimensions and seeming invincibility of the duo.

“As we enjoin for the umpteenth time all Nigerians to give every necessary support to this government and indeed its relevant ministries, departments and agencies, we reiterate that we need heavy doses of objectivity, broad-mindedness, sacrifice, responsiveness and proactiveness in tackling the multi-faceted socio-economic, ethno-religious, regional challenges bedeviling the greatest country of the black race.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that Lai Mohammed who is the minister of information said the Muhammadu Buhari administration had started the process of restructuring Nigeria based on recommendation from Nigerians.

The minister who spoke on Channels TV said the government has drawn a red line against hate speech and will not tolerate it any longer.
