Chelsea crumble to defeat at West Ham

West Ham player celebrate their victory
Marko Arnautovic’s sixth minute goal was all that West Ham needed to defeat Premier League champion, Chelsea on Saturday.
A lovely move and a really tidy finish from Marko Arnautovic, who drops a shoulder in the box, veers past Cesar Azpilicueta, and fires into the corner after a neat exchange with Manuel Lanzini on the edge.
That is his first West Ham goal. His first in eight months.
Despite having 69 percent possession and 19 shots, with only two on target, Chelsea were very poor and could not equalise against a struggling West Ham side.
The victory is Moyes’ first as manager of West Ham. It also means that Chelsea failed to reduce the gap at the top of the premier league as they are 11 points adrift of leader Manchester City with a game in hand against Manchester United on Sunday.
Goal scorer, Arnautovic said his goal meant a lot for him.
“It means a lot to me. I think to give something back to the fans and to the club. I was not in an easy situation when I came because of all these things that happen like the red card and illness but the last month I did quite ok. I want to score as many as I can now.
“We are working hard but we need to keep up the level. Now is a busy month. [David Moyes] came in as new manger when we were not in a good situation. He tried to put that we work hard and help each other. We are working as a team and if we continue like that we will be hard to beat,” he said in an interview with BBC.
